AACF Steak Fry

African American Community Fund

The purpose of the African American Community Fund is to promote and support the development of social, economic, educational and health initiatives in the African American community. The African American Community Fund seeks:

• To aggressively promote and encourage self-sufficiency in the African American community.

• To improve the physical, economic and educational conditions that affect the quality of life for all citizens.

• To assist in the development of projects which will strengthen African Americans and the total community.

In an effort to fulfill these goals, a Distribution Committee requests proposals from the community and awards grants annually. Grants totaling more than $131,000 have been awarded since 1991, covering a broad range of charitable interests.  The Fund also awards African American Scholarships to deserving students in the county.

Grant Deadline: November 15th
